A scrunchie is one of the best-value branded items there is: it costs very little, it is worn on a wrist all day where everybody sees it, and unlike most giveaways it gets used rather than filed in a drawer.

The design problem is that gathering swallows the print. Fabric that is three times longer than the finished scrunchie has two thirds of its surface tucked into folds, so a logo repeated at a normal scale ends up mostly hidden and partly distorted across a pleat.

The fix is an all-over repeat at a smaller scale rather than a single placed logo, so whatever ends up on the outside of the gather still reads. Or a small woven label sewn into the seam, which is the neatest option and reads as a fashion product rather than as merch. We will show you a mockup on the gathered shape, not on the flat.
